Whirlwind Wonderland

From Tugboat Press! Publishers and editors of the awesome Papercutter comics series! In collaboration with Sparkplug Comics! Rina Ayuyang is a talented artist who draws lush pen and ink stories about her life. Whirlwind Wonderland is an anthology of some of her favorite comics.

In one comic, Rina visits the Philippines and meets some of her relatives for the first time. She also shares her childhood embarrassment at the wooden carvings in her mom's house, thinking them to be different than her friends' houses. He mom says they're to remind her of where they came from, but Rina always thought she was from Pittsburgh! In another story Rina and her sister attend their Auntie's death anniversary and are awkwardly set up on dates with two priests. In the course of this collection, Rina also reconnects with her father, convinces her husband to be passionate about football, and attend a 90th birthday party with lots of Karaoke.
