Radon "28" CD + LP + book
by Aaron Cometbus, Travis Fristoe and Radon
Did you say that you've never heard Radon? Then I am truly sorry. Solving "the problems of fame by willful obfuscation and a premature break-up," do make Radon hard to properly experience. They were a powerful and effective DIY band, whose brilliance is still clear many years after their demise. In this combination package, of a record and a book that is a clear and effective parody of the 33 1/3 series, Radon focuses on one of our favorite bands and albums. Touted for their "largely unsold" LP (in reality sold out until this repress in August, so of course now the paperback is indefinitely out of print) Radon, made a massive impact on me, and it's great to be able to share that with this package. The Radon tape we received from a friendly customer in the 90s kept us happy while we packed thousands of mail orders and inspired many long days and late nights of designing books. According to co-author Aaron Cometbus, "Radon [remains] a sign that I could have it all: a place of my own and a girlfriend I could talk to about literature, plus the same, pure, ecstatic joy as when I first heard the Ramones." An authentic punk experience!
