Jeremy influenced and motivated some people.
That's a fact. That's what counts.
I like the idea of community which are sharing their ideas,
knowledge and cooperates together as a team.
I never knew Jeremy but yes, I would like to know him better to talk with him someday.
Just because someone got arrested doesn't means that person is a criminal.
We are equal - but we fail at making systems. (In general)

This is a quality zine. Jeremy does good work. He got busted hacking into websites, and did his 2 years like a warrior. He was the only one who got in trouble for any of his actions, and his dedicated to fighting the capitalist system should be commended

For those of you who know him so well and think that he couldn't possibly be a snitch, it might be worthwhile to talk a few other people who knew him well, specifically the other 2/3s of the Halstead 3 of whom Jeremy snitched on. Or perhaps you should talk to the chicago activists who also knew him well who he threatened with violence at NCOR if they disclosed to people who he really was.

1: Jeremy's lawyer did NOT turn over the tape. Nor did his dad. Nor did the videographer. JEREMY did it. He did it to keep his ass out of jail. He even admitted as much..
2: The cop didn't get "assaulted". He got beaned in the back of the head with a bottle. Thrown by Jeremy.
3: Jeremy's ALWAYS passionate. Until he doesn't need you anymore. Then he's just an insensitive dickhead who thinks his wants and needs supersede yours. Take it from someone who's been used and abused by this bastard.
4: What Jeremy does is NOT hacking. What he does is VANDALISM. What's more, he's no hacking genius. He's just a script kiddie using other people's hacks. And using them badly. Imbeciles like Jeremy are the reason we HAVE the stereotype of "the terrorist hacker".
5: Make no bones about it. Whether or not Jeremy was intimidated by police, he's STILL a snitch and an idiot.
6: Yes, there IS evidence that Jeremy cracked the site. ProtestWarrior produced it. And it was stunning how amatuer he was. Had the guys at PW NOT been notified almost immediately, the next log check would have pointed him out immediately.
7: If you want to learn real hacking, you're not going to learn it from Jeremy. Or anyone like him. I don't care HOW much the kiddie scripts at HTS seem to say otherwise.

A few years ago Jeremy got busted with several others at a Chicago Gay pride prade. Through his lawyer Jeremy turned over a tape of a gay pride scuffle where a cop got assulted. Though no new arrests ever came of it many in the movement consider him a snitch for turning over the tape in the first place. He also was arrested and jailed for domestic violence shortly before going to prison. Trouble seems to follow this kid like a lingering fart. I dont blame the folxs in Bloomington for thowing his ass out when he showed his face at the convergance.

I live with Jeremy Hammond currently, and he is one of the most passionate activists I've ever met. He has helped me deal with a lot of personal issues and has done nothing but loved and supported all of his friends since I've known him. He's fucking amazing.

Hacking stands for being idividual and creative. The feds intimidate hackers. The media blames them and makes a stereotype - the terrorist hacker. That is not true. Without hackers there would be no computer industry or buisness. How do you think Microsoft or Apple started?

Ruoppolo and DWalla, you two are pathetic. Just because someone has been intimidated by the police doesn't mean that they are a snitch or an idiot. It means they are able to stand up for what they believe in and help other people. Have you not read that there is no evidence at all that Jeremy actually cracked that site?

Jeremy was indicted today...heard he's been living in an abandoned building. What an idiot. He's going to really enjoy those 5 years in prison.

I've known Jeremy for a few years and am pretty familiar with his legal situations. He's never testified against anyone or otherwise narced on other comrades. Some of the stuff in this zine actually discusses two incidents where people had actually turned in evidence against him which resulted in him getting busted by the feds a few years ago. There's some good reading materials and lessons to be learned from the stuff here.

I ordered a copy and got a bunch of other cool stuff with it... the zine had a lot of really important information about indymedia, fighting copyrights, and staying secure online. Hacktivism is a really cool way of fighting back, to outsmart the establishment.
