Monsters #2 picks up where the series left off. Rory discovers she has herpes, and knows it came from Ken. Rory and Ken begin to drift apart, feeling alienated from each other, and ultimately, their sexuality in general. What they don't know about herpes could fill a book. Over time, their fears and uncertainties transform their once loving relationship into a nightmare of mistrust and anger. Eventually, they begin to see other people, and learn how easy it is to infect others, their disgust towards their bodies growing. Will there be a happy ending to this Ignatz award winning series? We hope so. This issue as a stand-alone was beautiful, but so sad!
