Biodiesel SMARTER #9
by Frankie Abralind
This is a cool little journal for those who can't ever read enough about the fine art and science of biodiesel and straight vegetable oil diesel systems. Since most literature on the subject is geared as primers or entry level information, it's refreshing to be immersed into a paper forum of obsessive greasemonkeys. This issue features activism around saving diesel vehicles, an editorial by Lyle Estill (author of Biodiesel Power), a college organization at Western Michigan University to make SVO fuel, the plethora of grease in Alaska, driving the Alaskan highway on SVO, and so much more. Much like high school, reading this made me go from feeling like I had a fair amount of knowledge on the subject to realizing how little I still know. For that reason, I am reading all of the backissues and anxiously awaiting all future issues!
