Biodiesel Smarter #10

Biodiesel Smarter #10

by Frankie Abralind

Biodiesel Smarter is the magazine for biodiesel enthusiasts. Issue 10 takes another look at running a Jetta off of biodiesel. A story on Yokayo biofuels reveals that the northern California company produces a whopping 300,000 gallons of biodiesel every year, and is shooting for a million gallons in the next few years. There's a piece on Biofuel Oasis, a neat service station that pumps biodiesel, and one woman's story of openning her own service station. Also, how to modify a new car without completely voiding the warranty. The cover story is about Manuel Cruz, and his biofuel pumping station in Vieques. He runs it out of his garage, on an island where it's not uncommon to wait in line hours to get gasoline. Also covered are safety and containment issues.
