Avow #23
by Keith Rosson
Avow #23 is Keith's first zine of all fiction, but don't let that scare you. It's fiction Keith Rosson style. Dark and brooding stories, with a bit of heartache thrown in for good measure. And like all good fiction, it feels very real, and almost more honest than a per-zine. This zine contains four stories: Small Words Given Freely, There is No Mechanism At Work Here, Do It For Hannah, and Trajectories. Highly recommended for short story fans!

“This is definitely worth your two bucks and makes for good reading on the toilet, bus, or train.”
“I was skeptical at first only because this type of journal has been in my valentine box before, or so I thought. Instead of some bummed-out-aging-alcoholic-pseudo-hipster dude representing his interest in Bukowski lifestyle-isms (no disrespect to the man of course, RIP) or boring me to tears with personal stories that I am unable to build a relationship with, I got five stories that were uniquely styled and utterly interesting to me. Unfortunately I am not well read enough to offer a comparison as to which writer I feel this person’s style does represent. To me, the stories were both riveting and original. The thought of a world without cats fills me with terror and sadness. It has also been said that the fart was the first joke, and I agree. I laughed and I cried! I highly recommend this to short story enthusiasts and those on the fence. You will not be disappointed.”
