Buzz #3

Buzz #3 is more mini-comic hilarity from the desk of Corinne Mucha. In this issue she freaks out a little about cell phones, postulates that space aliens couldn't hack it in America because we'd never let them, laments her lack of time, and creates clocks with extra hours just to get everything done. She draws nostalgic cavemen, sloths at the dentist, and wonders when she last heard a doorbell, not including a cellphone ringtone. She draws shopping bags drinking, and an expiration date that finds the fountain of youth. And in all of these instances, she's really talking about race and class, fame and celebrity, youth and aging, but in such a humorous way that it never feels admonishing or preachy. Corinne Mucha has mastered the ability to make comics that are poignant and funny at the same time, and that's pretty rare.
