In issue #13, Carrie struggles with the ongoing sickness of her cat Jesse. She goes to a too hip bar, talks about the end of the world, reveals her parents' stance on being openly gay, and of course eats a lot of tofu. As the issue progresses, Jesse's health gets worse and worse, and there's only so much solace to be found in acupuncture and scotch. Another engrossing issue to be read cover to cover.
