Basic Paper Airplane #3

Basic Paper Airplane #3

by Joshua James Amberson Author

Joshua's Basic Paper Airplane spends a lot of time reflecting on the fleeting nature of zine fancy. How one minute he is enamored by the wealth of amazing zines, and the next he's forgotten all about them. But then something he's written will become especially current and relevant, reminding him how important zines really are. Josh then writes a brief history of the US Postal System and encourages us to all write more letters. He also attends the Magazine Publishers of America Conference with his friend Ariel after the Utne Reader nominates her zine for Zine of the Year. He describes their nerve-wracking flight, and the much less frightening awards ceremony. Basic Paper Airplane is self-referential, delving into the inner workings of zinedom. It's also got a quite cute clipart layout.
