On the Mend: a zine in four seasons

On the Mend: a zine in four seasons

by Ariel Gore Author

This is humble story of recovery after the loss of Ariel's mom. It's about embracing difficult things—making things that aren't always coming naturally but are rewarding nonetheless and lead us to places of happiness. She cooks for her girlfriend and gets lukewarm praise for her drawings and gets tattooed and moves through the process of mourning. "My friends who can draw say that if I practice I'll get better. But punk philosophy says it's also ok to do things you're not good at, even if you don't get better." It would be improper not to mention the volume of recipes in here too for all kinds of healing foods, mostly sweets.
