This zine was put together to look at creative ways of purging negative energy, be it spells, crystals, spells, or other ways of channeling it out. There's a powerful and extensive illustrated quote from Carson McCuller's The Ballad of The Sad Cafe about the nature of being a Lover or a Beloved and how this tenuous dynamic leads to all manner of unpleasant dynamics as each person tries to fill their role. "The lover craves any possible relation from the beloved, even if this experience can only cause him pain." There's other comics about breakups, some sweet, freaky art that effectively communicates some of life's more complex feelings and universals, The Vajazzle, which I can only imagine is a joke, but involves bedazzling characters of undying, passionate, and eternal love on your "lady parts"...like Hello Kitty on rollerblades, pet peeves, debunking punk medical myths (many of which sound so questionable that I can only hope you already know that beer is not an antibiotic), and then some rad, basic information about things you can do to be a healthy person (what to do, what to avoid, and where to get more info), and an excellent treatise on being a new beekeeper! What a rad first issue!
