Emergency #4

Emergency #4

by Ammi Emergency

Ami is an amazing writer and story teller who writes about metaphorical monsters, the World Trade Center collapsing next to an apartment she stayed in, sucide of a good friend, traveling with new friends, and losing and finding many new things. Ami's writing is personal and empowering on these dim subjects, as her explanations and thoughts are inspiring. A hard read to put down and highly literate.

I actually haven't read Emergency #4 all the way through. Not because it's not good; but rather because a single page can be so packed with blood that it gets in my teeth for weeks.

I saw Ami on the y'erdme zine tour and both she and the excerpt she read from her zine were great. pick up a copy or try to see the tour!

Ammi's writing makes the top of my head tingle. If the angels in my ears spoke english, I'd like to think they'd whisper to me in prose half as eloquent and funny and real as hers. GET IT!
