Read on for Elly, Cyn, &amp; Jeri&#8217;s responses, plus a gift!<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Elly<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>My favorite media lately:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DVXQaOhpfJU\">Patti Smith accepting Bob Dylan&#8217;s Nobel Prize <\/a>more graciously than he ever did anything in his life. Her mid-song screwup makes the performance even better.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; I read <a href=\"https:\/\/microcosmpublishing.com\/catalog\/books\/7771\/\"><em>In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts<\/em><\/a> by Gabor Mate &#8212; a really mindblowing and wonderful book about addiction<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; And I loved the movie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kedifilm.com\/\">Kedi<\/a>, a documentary about the street cats of Istanbul:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lKq7UqplcL8\" width=\"140\" height=\"78\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Cyn<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u2022 Been catching up on the amazing graphic novel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/3217221-locke-key-vol-1\">Locke &amp; Key<\/a>, by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. The horror genre is my passion and Joe Hill consistently puts out brilliant writing, and this is some of the best: engaging, thoughtful, endlessly creative and often viscerally brutal.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Been obsessed with song covers; my current songs on loop are Johnny Cash&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5rpRzNcJZqKQXk9PIjreB6\"><em>Hurt<\/em><\/a>, Rasputina&#8217;s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/4uW5UrIMbx4UcUFbuTxPsQ\">You Don&#8217;t Own Me<\/a>,<\/em> Janet Devlin&#8217;s <a href=\"spotify:track:7ybspIonQVWWs2JsjAEy9b\"><em>Friday I&#8217;m In Love<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Was disappointed with Marvel Television for the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2017\/3\/8\/14848336\/iron-fist-review-netflix-show-marvel\"> many, many ways they dropped the ball <\/a>on their new Netflix show Iron Fist, but fell in loveloveLOVE with FX&#8217;s Marvel show, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polygon.com\/tv\/2017\/2\/7\/14531866\/legion-review-x-men-fx\">Legi\u2297n<\/a>, which was amAAZing (why can&#8217;t I find feminist <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/thecut\/2017\/03\/aubrey-plaza-is-giving-tvs-most-terrifying-performance.html\">analysis<\/a>\/reviews on it yet??? ).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Recently reconnected with my college best friend watching <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avclub.com\/article\/10-episodes-that-show-how-ibuffy-the-vampire-slaye-89781\">Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/a> while on the phone together, which is something we used to do (in person) when I was on the east coast. We had been halfway through season 5 when I moved, and in March we finished it via phone. It&#8217;s my 3rd or 4th time watching the show, but the finale left me (us) in tears all over again. Weeks later, they&#8217;ve taken all 7 seasons of Buffy off Netflix&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Jeri<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Soundtracks! I am super judgmental about movie soundtracks. In fact the film can be shitty but if the soundtrack is stellar, the film is redeemed. Here is a list of films with great soundtracks.
