This is one of our favorites, and if you&#8217;ve been curious about the book but haven&#8217;t gotten around to checking it out, spring intern Kellie is here with a review.<br><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">~ <em>Walking with Ramona<\/em> Review ~<br>By Kellie Robinson<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s nothing quite like stepping into the shoes of your favorite author, and Portland guide <a href=\"https:\/\/microcosmpublishing.com\/catalog\/artist\/laura_o_foster\">Laura O. Foster<\/a> helps her readers do just that in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/microcosmpublishing.com\/catalog\/books\/6456\">Walking with Ramona<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in the good ol\u2019 days, when I was a wee lass, there was one author whose books I always returned to time and time again: Beverly Cleary. Foster, an insightful look into Ms. Cleary\u2019s childhood days living in Portland, Oregon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It proffers a playful hand, inviting you to explore where Cleary (and her fictional alter ego, Ramona) spent her youthful days: elm-lined streets that make tunnels with their long branches; seasoned brick-and-mortar schools of days gone by; a local library or two, one of Cleary\u2019s favorite stops; and Grant Park, where the yells and laughter of neighborhood children can still be heard.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/microcosmpublishing.com\/previews\/ramona4_lg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"193\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Short though this book may be, dull it is not.
