Everyone was communicative and committed to making the book the best it could be, and it\u2019s always been a dream of mine to publish a book. I\u2019m really honored to have had this opportunity to work with the team to create a resource so close to my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What was the submission\/query process like for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I really appreciated how detailed the <a href=\"https:\/\/microcosmpublishing.com\/faq#submit-manuscripts\">submissions guidelines<\/a> were. That helped me figure out how to create an outline from my idea and set a good foundation for the book.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What else have you written?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have a weekly Substack newsletter called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/allthethreads.substack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>All The Threads<\/em><\/a>, which is a place where I write about random, whimsical practices at the intersections of spirituality, creativity, and justice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are you currently reading?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of graphic novels and zines. My TBR is always ridiculously long. I recently finished&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sarahcandersenshop.com\/products\/fangs-by-sarah-andersen\"><em>Fangs&nbsp;<\/em>by Sarah Andersen<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sarahgraley.com\/kim-reaper-oni-press\"><em>Kim Reaper: Grim Beginnings&nbsp;<\/em>by Sarah Graley<\/a>, and both were adorable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s the best book you read in the last year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So hard to choose, but my favorite was probably&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.meggieramm.com\/\"><em>Batcat&nbsp;<\/em>by Meggie Ramm<\/a>. Such a sweet adventure story with queer overtones and just a dash of spooky vibes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s next for you?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m working on a little horror poetry zine about my experience of growing up in a high-control religious environment, using the lens of monster myth.
