Everybody's Scene: The Story of Connecticut's Anthrax Club

by Chris Daily Author

Anthrax was a tiny punk and hardcore club that opened in Stamford, Connecticut in 1982, later moving to nearby Norwalk. It gave the suburban kids a punk community of their own, without having to travel to a faraway large city.. Everybody's Scene tells its story in the words of kids who were there at Anthrax, with tons of photos, show flyers, and letters between bands and the venues about arranging shows. Countless bands played there, including Dag Nasty, Mental Abuse, Dr. Know, Agnostic Front, CIA, Graffiti Rites, Vatican Commandos, Reflex From Pain, Cause of Alarm, Hose, AWOL, Violent CHildren, No Milk on Tuesday, Toxic Reasons, and well-known artists like Sonic Youth, Rollins Band, and Bad Brains.
