A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Life #1
by Kisha Hope
Kisha is one half of the creative team behind Fort Mortgage, the punks buying a house zine. She's also the author of her very own zine, A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Life. It's autobiographical, and installment #1 covers from birth to about the age of 12. But this is no ordinary perzine; Kisha's had an eventful life! As a toddler she tripped over a rack of bras and is still partially blind in one eye. She spent the first 10 years of her life on welfare and she claims the welfare cheese is to blame for the day she pooped her pants in Kindergarten. She talks about her 3 hour boyfriend in the 6th grade, and her fears that he and her other schoolmates would find out she was on public assistance. Kisha openly dishes on some of her more difficult memories, and reflects that overall, it was a pretty rough life.
