No Reading Allowed: The WORST Read-Aloud Book Ever
by Raj Haldar Author, Chris Carpenter Author and Bryce Gladfelter Author
This delightful kids' picture book takes a pair of similar-sounding words and illustrates them in uproariously different ways, highlighting the English language's many absurdities. "The hair came forth" and "the hare came fourth" sound the same but lend themselves to hilariously different comic scenarios. A "fowl feat" is very different than "foul feet", right? And having all the dough you can knead is a far cry from all the dough you can need. Kids will love the humor and guessing at the word meanings from the clues in the drawings, and adults won't be board, er, bored by this one.
