The Lou Reeder/You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory split

The co-creator of the Sugar Needle candy zine team up once again! This time it's a kickarse, face-punchin' split! The Lou Reeder is true stories about Lou Reed and, let us tell you, it is hee-larious throughout. Crazy run-ins with the man himself (mistaken for a stocks-spewing businessman in the back of a cab no less!); wild nostalgia for the Velvets; and live reviews full of weird factoids, fashion, and Lou Reedian history/mystery (Who the effing eff green-lighted Hall and Oates and Cheap Trick as opening acts for Lou Reed? Like, whaaat?) The You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory side is a well-written walk down memory lane—Violent Femmes personal history-style! Includes tons of live reviews, easy-to-use “Blister in the Sun” guitar tabs, a wrap-up of punk movies, tons of drawings, and a super awesome Violent Femmes-centric crossword puzzle! Big props to Matt and Corina for this gem.
