Kaitlin is a Ph.D. in language and literacy, a contemporary drawing artist, educator, and mother of two based in Tucson, Arizona. Her academic research investigates the impact of handwriting, drawing, and visual expression as analogue cognitive strategies for learning, specifically in the field of second language acquisition. As an artist, her drawing practice emphasizes juxtaposition, form, narrative, language play, and using the act of drawing as both reflection, critical processing, and a form of writing.
