Friday Black: Stories

A collection of short stories set in a dystopian near-future. Titled after the consumer "holiday,"  the stories explore Black identity, capitalism, racism, trauma, drugs, school shootings, and more in the style of magical realism in prosaic settings. It adds up to a gripping read and a powerful, imaginative, pointed critique at contemporary US society and the road we are headed down.
