A Fire Story

A first-hand account of the author's experience with loss during the 2017 California wildfires. Brian Fies had whipped together a short comic right after he'd lost everything, and then expanded it into this graphic novel. In between chapters of Fies' story, he includes written accounts of others' experiences with the 2017 fires.
