Icebound: Shipwrecked at the Edge of the World

In Icebound, author Andrea Pitzer recounts Dutch polar explorer William Barents’ harrowing Arctic expeditions, culminating in a year-long fight for survival against unforgiving ice and ravenous polar bears. Combining a gripping survival tale with a sweeping history of the Age of Exploration, Pitzer masterfully explores Barents’ ambitious quest to chart the Arctic’s deepest regions. Through extensive research, including learning to use four-hundred-year-old navigation equipment and retracing Barents’ steps, Pitzer delves into human ingenuity, resilience, and hope. The book offers insights into survival at twenty degrees below, mutiny, celestial navigation, and shelter-building, and providing a glimpse into true courage.

Carlota was just telling the first person who commented to google zapatistas. The first person commented under the name "ignorant."

If by ignorant, you are referring to some of the letters that Subcomadante Marcos allegedly wrote, you should know that Marcos is only the official spokesperson for the EZLN, and not THE leader. Supposedly, he reports to a council of elders. He also does NOT support the Basque terrorist group, ETA entirely. His own words in a letter to this group were, "I shit on all the revolutionary vanguards of the world." While I find his ignorance of the history of General Pinochet's repressive policies disturbing, I also know that this is a WIKIPEDIA article, and as such, open to editing by anyone with a biased point of view. The article has even been flagged for neutrality.
