Mother to Son: Wisdom from the Heart

Spanning from infancy to adulthood, this book has one pithy piece of parenting advice on each page that seems pretty solid no matter what your child's gender. As a toddler, the tip is "If you make fun of him, he'll learn to be shy." (Also, seriously, why would you make fun of your kids?) A tip in the Leaving Home chapter advises, "Remember, he'll be back. He's hungry." This book has apparently sold millions of copies.
