The Black Flamingo
Michael, a mixed-race gay teen growing up in London, has navigated his Greek-Cypriot and Jamaican heritage throughout his life, never quite feeling Greek or Black enough. As he matures, his coming out marks the beginning of a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. When he stumbles upon the Drag Society, he finally finds his place in the world, and the persona of the Black Flamingo is born. This debut novel, written with raw honesty and insight delves into the complexities of identity and the transformative power of embracing one’s true self.
