How I Learned to Fall Out of Trees

by Vincent Kirsch Author

This story for kids ages 4-8 is about the bittersweet nature of growing up and saying good-bye. Two best friends spend all their time together playing outside, but when the time comes for one to move away, they have to say good-bye. But as a farewell gift, the friend staying behind is taught once and for all how to climb a tree. The story flips between the steps of moving away and those of climbing a tree, until finally the last obstacle is the fear of letting go only to discover that friendship makes for soft landings.
