Leftover Rightunder: Finding Architectural Potential in Found Materials
This book explores the lives and habitat construction of the Earth’s poorest people, arguably one of the largest construction forces in the world. Whether urban or rural, people in this socioeconomic group have no choice to build their own homes, using whatever can be found at their disposal. This book follows the work of Wes Janz, projects conducted over the course of ten years. The book contains hundreds of color photos documenting people’s architectural efforts, small buildings, including his own workshops with students teaching them the repurposing of building materials.
