On the Nature of Magic

In 1902, Helena Walton-Cisneros, a detective known for solving mysteries, takes on two uncanny cases in Paris. The first involves two English women claiming to have seen the ghost of Marie Antoinette in the gardens of Versailles, while the second involves the murder of a young woman working at the mysterious Méliès Star Films studio. Helena and her colleague Eliza investigate, hearing whispers of vanishings, strange lights, spies, actors flying without ropes, and connections to the occult. They must accept the darker, stranger nature of the natural world to find answers.
