Catskill Fairies
Twelve-year-old Job lived on a mountain in the Catskills with his grandfather. One December Christmas Eve, Job was left to care for the cow and chickens when his grandfather went to town. A snowstorm prevented his return. Sitting by the fire, Job was visited by fairies who told him wonderful stories. Upon his grandfather’s return, Job wondered if it had been real or a dream. This beautifully written and illustrated story of imagination was originally published in 1876. This book is marked as suitable for kids in grades 4 to 8.
