Of Time and Turtles: Mending the World, Shell by Shattered Shell

This book teaches about the author’s time in the Turtle Rescue League, where she witnessed firsthand the amount of turtles whose lives had been endangered due to human activity and environmental hazards. Through this narrative, the author shares some of the wisdom she gleaned in helping care and being around this animals. Inside is an insert of photography and full color paintings from the author’s companion who also participated in the adventure to help save some turtles. The book is a blend of science and nature writing, and a creative memoir with elements of philosophy.
