This is an ode to the French fry, exploring it’s history and variations, and why it’s loved across the world, across cultures and peoples. Who better than to write and present the story of this food other than author Blake Lingle, whose fries received accolades and awards from a notable news organization in the US. It looks at the restaurant side of the production of this food, but also will take the reader on a tour through a potato farm and a factory that proceeds fries. He’ll profile the many ways different people like to enjoy their fries considering different cuts, oils, seasonings, sauce pairings, and food accompaniments. It will provide recipes on how to prepare your own fries, all illustrated with engaging color photography. This is a great book for fry lovers, food lovers, and anyone that enjoys a weird but fun history.
