Six Walks: In the Footsteps of Henry David Thoreau
In 1849, Henry David Thoreau walked the beaches of Cape Cod, and over a century later, Ben Shattuck embarked on six journeys inspired by Thoreau's path. He walked from the Cape's elbow to Provincetown's fingertip, encountering unexpected characters, landscapes, and stories along the way. Shattuck discovered the restorative effects of walking on a dampened spirit and gained insights about family, love, friendship, and fatherhood.
