Heart: A History

Question: What makes the human heart unique? While it was beyond our understanding for millenia, with advances in science we've now got a better understanding. Author and cardiologist Sandeep Jauhar uses both historical episodes and examples from his own life to tell a story that's closer to the heart. From the first open heart surgery to the invention of the pacemaker is discussed, but also considered the limits of medical technology.
