The Sacred Rite of Magical Love: A Ceremony of Word & Flesh
by Maria de Naglowska Author and Donald Traxler Author
Available for the first time in English, The Sacred Rite of Magical Love is a novella written by the Russian mystic and esoteric high priestess of 1930s Paris Maria de Naglowska. Her religious system, called the Third Term of the Trinity, emphasized the importance of sex not for pleasure but the benefit of humanity. It is replete with autobiographical accounts of the author, a summary of the Third Term of the Trinity, and of course the story of a young woman named Xenophonta and her worship of a dark force she calls the Master of the Past. It is this Master she dedicates her love to before she gets involved in a bizarre love triangle with the young Cossack Misha.
