Recounting his own Jewish-Argentine background, his encounters and findings being a family therapist, Minuchen offers a lens with which to analyze our "dysfunctional" families. Actually, the author strays from and doesn't consider the term dysfunctional but rather looks at the difficult workings of troubled family life through his own lens of understand the complex parts a family and the parts of each individual's life that contribute and create the dynamic.
