A spooky building with glowing windows.

Haunted Philadelphia: Famous Phantoms, Sinister Sites, and Lingering Legends

by Darcy Oordt Author

Philadelphia is known for its Revolutionary War history, crazy sports fans, cheesesteaks, a sitcom of people you love to hate, and, famously, a certain boxer. But if your interests tend a little toward the gothic, there is plenty to interest you. There are ghosts a plenty on the streets of the city of Brotherly Love. Famous ghosts like Alexander Hamilton, Ben Franklin, and Edgar Allen Poe but also less famous ghosts as well. Fort Mifflin has its share of hauntings and with dozens of cemeteries that have been moved, you know there are some restless ghosts bopping around.
