Record Play Pause: Confessions of a Post-Punk Percussionist - The Joy Division Years
by Stephen Morrison Author
Stephen Morris became famous drumming for some of pop's biggest bands, but before that he grew up on a quiet road in the 60's in rural England. Although Manchester was the nearest city, it felt a million miles away. Morris joined a little band named Warsaw to escape suburbia. That band would eventually become known as Joy Division, one of the pre-eminent post-punk, pre-emo bands around. From his memories of growing up in the North West to the founding of New Order, Morris never strays far from the music.
