My Body, Our Rights
by Paula Hewitt Amram Author and Sabrina Jones Illustrator
From the cartoonist collective magazine World War 3, this book explores the themes and realms of abortion, sexual healthcare, contraception, and identity — diving into the harsh and hostile dimensions of our society. Some of the comics in here are artists’ personal testament while others chronicle others’ stories and collective experience. It will fill in the lines and go beyond the rigid morals and rules that perpetuate misogyny and other gender-based discrimination by sharing the efforts of activists, artists, healthcare workers, and students in the fight for their bodies and our bodily autonomies. This book contains the work of over 30 artists, presenting an art of resistance.
