Stop Biting the Tail You're Chasing: Using Buddhist Mind Training to Free Yourself from Painful Emotional Patterns
Through Buddhism and it’s teachings, this book explores how to manage, navigate, and break free from emotions as well as dependance on them. It teaches how to train the mind to be able to not be slaves to our emotions, not to have emotional reactions, in a wide number of circumstances. Through the practice of “lojong”, that is letting go of both what we consider positive and negative emotions, one can cultivate a life that is full of insight and without emotional reactivity. The book shares a practical skillset and “tools” that can be used in all sorts of everyday circumstances, to regulate emotions, and to live a life that doesn’t necessarily bring suffering as the result of our emotions.
