Masks: Oda Jaune
This book explores a collection art from German-Bulgarian visual artist Oda Jaune. This volume contains her watercolor works, made between 2013 and 2015, exploring and expanding on the terms social mask. She creates figures and characters who are undergoing personal transformation in a variety of styles that range from the childlike to the macabre, exploring the inner life of people undergoing change, something that can be found within anyone and everyone. Intense, sublime, sometimes violent, and beautiful, the collection is paired with a passage to Nietzsche “Beyond Good and Evil” to introduce the art.
