Life in the Dark: Illuminating Biodiversity in the Shadowy Haunts of Planet Earth
This book, through detailed and meticulously gathered photography, shares the lives of creatures that live in the darkness. Whether that be inside the depths of caves, in the bottoms of bodies of water, underground, these creatures roam in places that light doesn’t touch—a world that is inhabited by surprisingly many creatures. There are over 200 photos of these creatures of the night and the dark, featuring some of the most intriguing of creatures. Scientists and photographer Danté Fenolio does a good job at incorporating just enough light to contrast with the dark that these creatures live in.
