Through vivid photography, this book explores an abandoned side of Pennsylvania, of history forgotten to the present. There is a rich history already present to the state, integral to the story of the US, but there are aspects to the past here that are decaying and present in left behind buildings—from education facilities, medical centers, industrial sites, recreational areas, and more. This book will take the reader on a journey through time that explores these aspects and sites, giving them a look into a place defined by industry that subsequently vanished. Archeological in nature, it reveals the past that has been forgotten might be closer to us than the further past we learn about in textbooks and that which gets saved.
