Florida's Abandoned Boats

This book explores the history of forgotten nautical vessels—boats—in the state of Florida, a place where there are more registered ships than in any other state, a symbol of exploration, leisure and affluence, recreation—and in this case—loss and abandon. The boats featured here are to be found in many places across the state. The book hardly only looks at ships whose owners neglected to pay their dock fees, but rather explores the situation in a state where thousands of derelict boats are left to nature judgment, under bridges, and all over the state. The book presents a total of 140 ships left to the elements and that share histories that define a part of the Sunshine State.
