Rainbow Revolutions: Power, Pride, and Protest in the Fight for Queer Rights

by Jamie Lawson Author and Eve Lloyd Knight Illustrator

This book covers the more recent history in the struggle for queer rights in the US. Marketed to audiences 11 to 16, the book looks at the riots and events at the Stonewall Inn in 1969 onward. It features the impassioned speeches of different icons and activists in the movement, such as Audre Lorde, weaving together aspects of Pride and queer pop culture evolution. The book celebrates the many individuals that chose to stand and demand recognition, as well as all those that never had a choice. The book is heavily illustrated throughout in compelling pop art illustrations by artist Eve Lloyd Knight.
