Vampire Julian Schaden, warning the Asheville Paranormal Council of a demonic incursion for over two decades, fights with limited help after Micah Carter, the demon hunter, shirks his responsibility and dies. Desperate, Julian finds young Thomas Carter, the heir to a line of demon hunters, on the Carter property. Thomas, unaware of the supernatural world, is drawn to the prospect of fighting the Unholy.
