Past Mortems
by Carla Valentine Author
This book is the story and the stories of Carla Valentine — a pathology technician and curator, and her experiences with death. Having spent ten days training as an Anatomical Pathology Technologist at a mortuary, this book covers her time during that decade, also looking into society’s attitudes towards death and shedding a light on what the living can learn from it. She looks into the experience of working at a mortuary and the impact it has on the living whose life it is to carry out this necessary job of life, where the task list involves corpses that once had names and human lives.
