This is a book that makes for an impressive and engaging gift for lovers of plants, flowers, and nature. It explores Richard Fischer’s ambitious project of recording many of the unique features and the diversity of beauty to be found in many plant species. He’s developed his own method of brining out unique textures along with striking color of blossoms and flowers. Some of the shots might have you thinking you’re looking at something from unknown ocean depths or somewhere cosmic, but actually are close-ups of the beauty and fragility of the petaled beauty of our world. The facultative descriptions are provided in both English and German. It makes for an amazing coffee table book for lovers of nature photography and botany.
