The Autism-Friendly Cookbook
by Lydia Wilkins Author
This is a recipe book geared towards autistic people: where a lot of of jargon and instructions have been cut out and there has been a focus to suit different executive functioning levels, sensory preferences (whether seeking or avoiding) and certain dietary needs. The recipes in this book are foremost categorized by meal with specifications for low-energy options or accessible options for meltdown days — or alternatively options for days of when one might be looking for a challenge! In this book, especially suited for those who want to expand their recipe repertoires, readers will find options that are vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free selections. The recipes in this book were gathered from autistic people in the author’s life — including quick meals and options for special occasions. Keeping the target audience in mind, this also contains tips for parents or teachers of autistic individuals.
