Worn on This Day: The Clothes That Made History

This book takes a look at the history of fashion, a timeline that takes a look at the history of couture and more through every day of the year — from first of January to the Eve of the New Year. Every day contains a profile of iconic garments worn for monumental occasions, time capsules into broader history and the history of clothing itself. More than just showing an outfit a day, it’ll juxtapose the variety of outfits being worn at a given time and on that day in the years to come. This looks at diverse events such as the beheading of Queen Antoinette, the attack on the World Trade Center, and coronation of Queen Elizabeth, and the lives of ordinary (and not-so ordinary) everyday people of their times.
